Three days before the 36th Karel Stegeman Toernooi, the tournament winner of the last two editions, 2018 and 2019, can report that they will travel to Ruurlo as the leader of the U19 Superettan Södra.
Kalmar FF won last night’s difficult away game against the physically strong Varbergs BoIS with 2-1. The team from Varberg took the lead in the first half, but by working hard as a team, Kalmar FF managed to turn the game in the second half through goals from Leon Isa and Anton Nyholm. With this result, Kalmar FF leads the table with 20 points from 10 games.
The question is of course whether this victory gives the team of coach Johan Israelsson so much motivation and strength that they win the KST three times in a row and can put the Karel Stegeman cup in their trophy cabinet for good.
We’ll know in less than a week.
