Through U18 coach Melchior Schoenmakers, FC Groningen has indicated today that it would like to participate in the Karel Stegeman Tournament. The team from Groningen will make their debut at our tournament in 2023.
FC Groningen U18 is currently, with three games to play, in fourth place in the eight-team Division 2. The three remaining games will be played by Schoenmakers team at home against Almere City FC and away against Vitesse and NAC Breda. Promotion to Division 1 is certainly still possible.
