For the first time, teams from four different continents, Europe, Asia, Africa and (South) America, participate in the PLUS Stam KST (Karel Stegeman Toernooi) next year.
The debutants Club Atlético Sarmiento from Argentina and Garden City Panthers FC (Nigeria) represent respectively (South) America and Africa and after their debut last year the Israeli Hapoel Be’er Sheva will participate from Asia.
Among the nine European participants is one debutant, Belgian Oud-Heverlee Leuven. Teams that participated this year and will return in 2024 are Kalmar FF and Halmstads BK (Sweden), AC Horsens and Silkeborg IF (Denmark) and from the Netherlands, De Graafschap and VV Ruurlo U21. The other two Dutch participants, Excelsior and Sparta, both from Rotterdam, return after an absence of respectively thirteen and five years.
