Club Atlético Sarmiento, founded in 1911, is a sports club from Junin in the province of Buenos Aires. The club plays in the Primera División, the highest division in Argentine football, from the 2021/22 season. The club played two previous periods in the Primera División, in 1981/82 and from 2015 to 2017.
The team participating in the PLUS Stam Karel Stegeman Toernooi consists mainly of players who play with the club’s B team, CA Sarmiento II, in the Copa de la SAF Reserva 2024. The young team has a physically tough time in this competition and therefore cannot play a significant role. The most striking player of the team at our tournament will be undoubtedly Agustín Avalos Molina, 2006, who already made his debut in the A-team and already played two matches in the Primera División in which he managed to score.
CA Sarmiento makes its debut at our tournament and is the first Argentine club at this tournament. The arrival of the club was made possible by working together with the organizers of the Terborg Tournament, in which CA Sarmiento participates in the weekend after Pentecost.
