Halmstads BK BK was founded on March 6, 1914 and has since become national champions four times and won the cup once. Until 2011 it played continuously in the Allsvenskan for a long time, but since then Halmstads BK has been a lift team between the highest level and the Superettan. The blue-blacks play in the Allsvenskan again from January 2023.

The team participating in our tournament finished in a very creditable fifth place in the U19 Allsvenskan last year. Altin Mazreku and Emir El Kathemi, both born in 2006, are youth international players for Sweden, as are Alex Hall (2005) and Bleon Kurtulus (2007). However, it remains to be seen whether these two players will be allowed to participate, as they have already been transferred to the club’s A-selection.

Halmstads BK is coming to Ruurlo for the twelfth time this year. HBK has performed excellently at the tournament in recent years. They lost to FC Groningen in the final last year and won the 2022 edition.
